CAN YOU CHOOSE HAPPINESS?

Happiness is an inside job.

Life is hard and can be complicated. And we certainly cannot always control our circumstances, but we do have more control over our mindset than we acknowledge.

Abraham Lincoln is famously quoted as saying, “Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.” And he was right. Happiness is a choice but also a daily practice that requires time, effort and dedication. Choosing to be happy can be a constant effort.

One way to help that mindset is to choose to be your best! John Wooden once said, “Success and happiness is peace of mind, which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you made the effort to do your best to become the best that you are capable of becoming.”

Another approach is to come from a place of gratitude. No matter how bad life seems, there’s always something positive you can find to focus on. When you appreciate what you have, what you have appreciates in value.

“Happiness is not a state to arrive at, but a manner of traveling.” —Margaret Lee Runbeck

Choose to make it a good day. Do so, and it will be.

Hope you can give Happy a try!
